    Showing as part of Heritage Foundation's 'Cinema in Letchworth' theme. One of the stars, Laurence Olivier, lived in the Garden City as a child. The score is by Vaughan Williams. In Canada, five stranded U-Boat men try to escape to the US.

    Con artist Clifford Irving pretends to have access to Howard Hughes. Subsequent autobiography not realised to be a hoax. Stars Richard Gere and Julie Delpy.

    Racial tension (a black girl who can 'pass for white' is wooed by a white man until he finds out). Ground-breaking film whose 'improvisations' were highly rehearsed by the director. Jazz score by Charles Mingus.

    An old lady disappears on a train. Two young people investigate. Typical of the director's British period.

    30's Germany. Counterfeiter sent to Mathausen; forced to work for the Government designing fake bank notes.
